PrimeCut Services is a locally owned and operated small business that offers Land clearing, forestry mulching, fenceline clearing, storm clean up, driveway building/expanding and more
We want to offer a more affordable option for landowners here in Nova Scotia, through using smaller, more efficient machines compared to other common machines such as mini/large excavators, Our Skid Steer Mulcher does this, while being able to offer other less technical services as well.
Primecut services has been recognized by St. Francis Xavier University through the Wallace family internship program, with the owner- Lucas MacDonald, pitching this idea, and winning the Wallace award.
Meet the owner
PrimeCut Services is owned and operated by Lucas MacDonald, a 3rd year finance student at St. Francis Xavier University, with a strong interest in entrepreneurship and land management. While in his studies, he has been building PrimeCut Services with the goal of providing reliable, high-quality land clearing and forestry mulching services to property owners across Nova Scotia.
Through his initiative and business concept, Lucas was selected as a recipient of the Wallace Family Internship, a competitive program that supports student entrepreneurs in launching and developing their own ventures. This support has helped provide the foundation for starting and growing PrimeCut Services into a professional and dependable operation.
Alongside his academic background in finance and business, Lucas brings both experience operating equipment and working on rural properties. That experience has shaped a practical understanding of what landowners need; efficient clearing, careful operation, and results that leave the property cleaner and more usable.
